On 23 April, 2018, at the Alibaba Group’s much anticipated Melbourne event: “In Conversation with Alibaba Group CEO, Danial Zhang,” Alibaba’s Maggie Zhou – Managing Director (Australia and New Zealand) – officially supported our global OneSky network and encouraged merchants to connect and also support our work in China.

CEO of Wesfarmers Department Store Division (Kmart and Target) and OneSky Global President, Guy Russo, was invited to stage to reflect on his philanthropic approach in business and to share his journey with Half the Sky, and now OneSky.

We were beyond humbled for this opportunity, and blown away when Alibaba merchants Australia Post, Jessica’s Suitcase and Douglas Pharmaceuticals were announced as first to adopt the Alibaba charity initiative in support of our work!

The Alibaba Group kindly also donated all tickets sales to the Foundation, ensuring that the world’s most vulnerable children are empowered, educated and ultimately loved so they can reach their potential.
