Our Trip to China

On May 28, members of our team left for China to visit some of our programmes and sites.

Our itinerary would include stops at our model centres in Hunan and Yunnan Provinces to visit the children and get updates on the programmes; a stop to see Chunhui Children China Care Home staff and children in their brand new facilities, and some of us were even planning to attend some fundraising events in Hong Kong and Shanghai!

We were all excited… this was our first trip to China together. Many of us were going including Deanne Bevan, our CEO, Lauren O’Hara, Chief Development Officer and me, Veronica Reich, Communications Director. Along the way, at our various stops, we knew we would also be joined by many others such as Guy Russo, Chairman of the Global Half the Sky Foundation, colleagues from other offices worldwide and some of our loyal volunteers and sponsors.

So stay tuned as we share our amazing journey with you and introduce you to some of the people behind Half the Sky’s work!

Off we go… our first stop will be in Hong Kong!
